    FOUNDER AND PROJECT LEAD

    Kate is Head of the History Department and Director of the Center for Cultural Landscapes at UC. She’s a member of the Civic Garden Center’s 2025 Greenspace Guardians cohort.

    Christina is our liaison to the Stowe House, ensuring that our projects align with the museum’s interpretive plan.

    Chris is a retired Senior Operations Manager at GE Aerospace, where she was a leader of the Green Team. She is also a member of the Civic Garden Center’s 2025 Greenspace Guardians cohort.

    Mona is President of the Walnut Hills Area Council and co-founder of Queen Mother’s Market Cooperative and Cincinnati Sovereign Soil Collective.

    Sarah is a Paralegal with Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati and member of the Civic Caden Center’s 2025 Greenspace Guardians cohort.

    Ann is a member of the Civic Garden Center’s 2025 Greenspace Guardians cohort and an active member of numerous conservation efforts in Cincinnati.

    C.J. is a gardener and yoga instructor who is also an Educator at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House.

    Fred leads tours of historic Cincinnati landmarks and neighborhoods, including Walnut Hills. He’s also a long-time steward of the plantings around the Stowe House.

    Kris is an Emeritus Professor of Medicine at UC and an alum of the UC History MA program.

    Zinnia is the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House as well as an oral history expert, a teacher, and a poet.

    Alyssa is a fourth-year Environmental Studies major in the University Honors Program at UC with minors in biology and horticulture. She’s also pursuing a Geographic Information Systems certificate.

    Juliana is a first-year graduate student at the University of Cincinnati pursuing an MA in History with a concentration in Public History.

    Lily is a fourth-year Environmental Science student at UC. She is restoring the landscape around a historic redbud tree by replacing turf with native plantings, adding wildlife habitat, and creating educational signage on tree and habitat care.

    Theo is a PhD student in History at UC working on the history of Parks and Recreation. He conducted research on Catharine Beecher’s uses of medicinal herbs as part of the Historic Gardens Research Project.
